Now showing: Material Assembly (MatA): Re-Forming Matter exhibition. Material Assembly (MatA) is a RMIT-based collective of artist-researchers working at the intersection of material, meaning, and making. This dynamic exhibition marks a renewed chapter in MatA’s evolution, showcasing experimental works that push the boundaries of contemporary art and craft. Through critical, sensory, and speculative studio-led practices, MatA artists explore the transformative properties of materials as carriers of cultural ideas and agents of new forms. From the tangible to the technological, the works in this exhibition respond to our rapidly shifting world with curiosity, rigour, and imagination. Exhibition dates Tuesday 2 September – Thursday 4 September 10:00am – 5:00pm daily Closing event: Thursday 4 September 5pm Artists Sue Buchanan, Vittoria Di Stefano, Mark Edgoose, Deborah Fisher, Andrew Gunnell, Hootan Heydari, Claire McArdle, Lindy McSwan, Christopher Earl Milbourne, Michaela Pegum, Simon Perry, Nicole Polentas, Steven Rendall, Kylie Stillman, Sarah Tomasetti, Ingrid Tseng, Jie Zhou.
